This is the Trinity Tru-Lathe 3 Modified Motor Lathe. This lathe allows modeler to re-true old commutators or put a precision finish on new motors for optimum performance.

FEATURES:

Replaceable hardened steel conventional V-blocks included for high precision low maintenance cutting. Ball bearing "V-block" setup also included for those who prefer the cutting performance that ball bearings deliver. Designed to cut both standard 540 size and the larger 550 size armatures. Lead screws are titanium nitride coated for smooth, long lasting performance. Plastic foam lined carrying case with handle. Storage tubes with lids for armatures, bearings, small tools and other items.

REQUIRES:

Stock 27 turn motor. Three or four cell battery pack with Standard (Tamiya) connector or DC power supply with three volt output capability. Motor bushing oil. Soldering iron and pliers if installing on-off switch. Installing carbide toolbit with 1.5mm, 2mm, and a 2.5mm allen wrenches.

COMMENTS:

If using a stock motor with advanced timing to power the lathe, Trinity recommends reducing the voltage to the motor to three volts so that the motor does not spin too fast diminishing the finish quality of the commutator cut. JXS 5/22/01 ir/jl
