The TRA Rustler delivers pro-level racing technology and performance in a reliable, easy to maintain Ready-To-Run® package at about half the cost of some competition-only stadium race trucks. Designed for performance and durability, you can expect hours and hours of low-cost, fast radio-controlled fun. From the very start, Rustler is one tricked-out ride.
The Rustler is made for life in the dirt. The aggressive 20-turn Stinger motor requires little or no maintenance and has an enclosed case that keeps the brushes clean and cool. Rustler´s race-hardened suspension stands up to the most insane off-road action. Telescoping, U-joint driveshafts power the Rustler through every jump and bump without limiting suspension travel and "popping out" like metal universals can. The precision, X-tra-long, oil-filled shocks are fully-adjustable with included plastic spacers for no-nonsense accuracy and quick trackside tuning. Rustler´s special chassis forms a super-rigid foundation by using fiber-composite materials and a channeled, double-deck configuration. Chassis flex is virtually eliminated, so the suspension works consistently, lap after lap. For better stability, the battery is positioned in the chassis to lower the center of gravity.
Additional standard features include long suspension arms, centered kingpins, live front axles, and bell-crank steering. An adjustable slipper clutch is included to improve traction and reduce wear and tear on driveline components. The tough 272 Magnum transmission uses race-proven components, such as stainless steel ball bearings, quiet, efficient, 48-pitch gears, and our reliable, low-maintenance, planetary-gear differential. The Rustler is available Ready-To-Run® with either a precise rotary mechanical speed control (model 3710) or the powerful XL-1 electronic speed control (model 3706).
The Ready-To-Run Rustler includes a fully trimmed and finished five-color ProGraphix™ painted body. With the ProGraphix process, you will never see bleeding paint or over-sprays that need to be covered up with a page full of decals. Our unique ProGraphix™ painting process creates crisp, clean lines, smooth fades, and amazing professional graphics. Each model is available with four different color schemes to choose from.
