Duratrax DTXP4150 - Intellipeak Ac/Dc Twin Pulse Charger
This is an IntelliPeak AC/DC Twin Pulse Charger for Charging Nickel Cadmium (NiCd) and Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) Battery Packs. DOES NOT DISCHARGE OR CYCLE *** FIVE YEAR WARRANTY ***
FEATURES:
Peak Charges two, sub-C size battery packs at the same time. This is convenient for models which operate from two batteries simultaneously, or for modelers who use multiple packs on a regular basis. This charger will also Peak Charge one, 8-cell AA size transmitter pack on Peak Charger 1 at a 1A rate only. Peak Charger 1 (left side) offers two fixed Charge rates selectable by a switch. A minimum 3.5A Peak Charge current for 6-cell (7.2V) or 7-cell (8.4V) sub-C size battery packs, and a 1A Peak Charge current for 8-cell (9.6V) transmitter packs. A Futaba transmitter adapter is also included. (see COMMENTS for cautions) Peak Charger 2 (right side) offers a single fixed Charge rate. A minimum 3.5A Peak Charge current for 6-cell (7.2V) or 7-cell (8.4V) sub-C size packs. (see COMMENTS for cautions) Built-in Artificial Intelligence to eliminate false Peaks, providing full Charges without overcharging. Computerized control, 8-bit 4MHz CPU with 8K ROM, 1K RAM, 1-channel 16-bit analog-to-digital converter. High efficiency N-Channel MOSFET drive transistors 11-15V DC input or 110V AC (US Standard) input Pulsed Fast Charge, with 8-bit Pulse Width Modulated Current Control Output. 100mA TRICKLE Charge rate for 6- and 7-cell packs, and 50mA TRICKLE Charge rate for 8 cell transmitter packs. Two multi-function, high intensity LED indicators for easy set-up - glow during Peak Charge and flash after Peak has been reached, indicating the charger is in TRICKLE Charge. LED for Peak Charger 1 is Red, and for Peak Charger 2 is Yellow. Built-in cooling fan keeps the charger cool, increasing efficiency and extending its life. Fused overload, thermal, and reverse polarity protection

COMMENTS:
Caution- When charging 8-cell (9.6V) transmitter batteries, Only use the Peak Charger 1 (left side), and with the selector switch in 1A Tx position. Never attempt to Charge transmitter batteries at the 3.5A Peak Charge rate OR on Peak Charger 2 (right side). Failure to obey this warning will likely result in permanent damage to the transmitter and the transmitter battery or bodily harm. Charging 8-cell batteries is best accomplished when using 110V AC input power, or DC input power greater than 12V but less 15V. If using 12V automotive battery for input power, starting the car's engine will increase the input voltage to approximately 13.8V. If necessary, starting the engine should allow the Twin to Peak Charge an 8-cell transmitter battery completely. Make sure the transmitter Power Switch is in the OFF position while Charging. NiMH Battery Care and Handling: It is important to not allow NiMH batteries to overheat while being Charged. Heat can adversely affect the performance of NiMH batteries. If overheating is observed, disconnect the battery from the charger immediately. -Store NiMH packs with some voltage remaining on the cells. -Use a NiMH battery pack no more than three cycles per day, with a two to three hour break in-between for cooling. More frequent use is likely to overheat the pack. WARNING: Do Not leave charger unattended during Fast Charge. If the battery or charger becomes hot at any time, disconnect the battery from the charger immediately. Other IntelliPeak Chargers Comparison- *All four of these IntelliPeak models include: Ability to Charge NiCd and NiMH packs Adjustable Pulsed Current Cycling functions (single cycle: periodic conditioning of regularly used batteries, and auto-repeat cycle: for deep conditioning of new or unused batteries. Four multi-function LEDs and audible tones to ease setup CPU driven Able to charge transmitter batteries *Each one builds up to the next one: -Pulse Charger: AC/DC input, 1A Discharge rate, great for racers and sport modelers alike. -Mini Pulse Charger: Builds on the Pulse Charger's features with DC input, detachable AC Power Supply...charger itself is very small, great for portability, 2A Discharge rate, 1 built-in cooling fan. -Deluxe Pulse Charger: Adds to the Mini Pulse Charger's features with DC input, detachable AC power supply. 2 and 10A Discharge rate (faster Discharge ability). Negative Delta V (for NiCds) and Zero Delta V (for NiMHs) peak technologies, auto-selects. High rate charging for high-capacity NiMH packs. Two built-in cooling fans. -Digital Pulse Charger: Includes all of the Deluxe model's features plus LCD readout that shows Battery Voltage, Charge current, and Discharge capacity in milliamps.
